John Miles 

courses: Cultural Perspective for Communicating the Gospel

John Miles is 61 years old, married to Grace with three children. He converted to Christ in November 1964 at the age of 19.

Career

He studied engineering at Matthew Boulton College and worked in the motor industry.

In 1975 John trained as a teacher at St. Peter's College, Saltley. He spent 13 years as a teacher in schools and in Queen Alexandra College, Birmingham.

He was the founder and chief executive of Next Generation Missions (formerly REAP International Ministries) for 12 years. 

Next Generations Missions activities have now been merged into International Teams where John is now training others to continue the work.

1963 & 1965 City and Guilds Engineering Technicians Certificate - parts 1 & 2.

1975 University of Birmingham Certificate of Education

1982 A.W.V.H. Certificate of Further Education

1999 M.A. in Mission Studies, University of Wales

Mission Experience

Short term mission teams to Spain, Turkey, Holland and Ireland. 

One year with Operation Mobilisation in Europe, India and Nepal. 

John has also worked with 'Open Doors with Brother Andrew' and smuggled bibles into Romania, China, Hungary and Russia. Produced monthly research document on the persecuted church.
