Accommodation

Kingfisher College are currently negotiating the lease for Lyttleton House, a halls of residence which is part of St Peter's Urban Renewal Trust, Saltley.

St Peter's Urban Renewal Trust Site

The St Peter's Urban Renewal Trust site was previously the site of St Peter's College, a teacher training college primarily for Church of England schoolteachers. 

St Peter's Urban Renewal trust site includes many other facilities for example:-

bulletsheltered housing for the elderly
bulletsports and social club
bulletfitness centre
bulletnursery
bullethousing for student teachers
bullethousing for mentally handicapped
bulletfamily housing
bulletlocal authority office accommodation
bulletsports field / village green often used by local schoolchildren
bullethigher education colleges running a variety of courses including Textiles, Art and Design.

There is a small shop on site, various other corner shops nearby and Alum Rock Road shops a short walk away. For more information about the surrounding area see 'Local Churches' and Local Community.

Rooms

Each room has a bed, bedside cabinet, wash basin, double wardrobe, bookcase, desk and chair. 

There are 44 single rooms and one flat.

Accommodation for the year will cost circa £2,400. This includes heating, lighting and water rates. It also includes free use of shower blocks, toilet blocks, kitchen blocks and a coin-operated laundrette. 

The hall also includes an apartment that will be converted into a common room with TV, which is also included in the price. A prayer room and a computer room will also be provided.

The accommodation is available from January 4 2004 for the academic year. The cost of accommodation does not include the cost of food, toiletries, cleaning or transport. For a fuller picture of the price of learning with Kingfisher please click here.

More information about Lyttleton House will be made available when Kingfisher College obtain the lease. Please pray for these negotiations.
