Kingfisher College gives students the opportunity to learn English up to the
Cambridge First Certificate in English whilst simultaneously offering invaluable
mission training. Students must have English Language skills equivalent to the Pre-Intermediate
English Standard (level 3) before applying.
Kingfisher works hard to offer competitive rates. The one year course costs £3000 per student.
However, these costs do not include the cost of course books, exam fees or cultural
excursions.
Accommodation may be available to students in Lyttleton
House. Lyttleton offers students a room with bed, bedside
cabinet, double wardrobe, wash basin, bookcase, desk and chair. The hall, which
is part of St Peter's Urban Renewal Development Trust, is situated within
walking distance of Alum Rock Road shops. It is also a short bus ride away from
both the training facility and Birmingham city
centre.
Lyttleton House is normally available to students the start of the
academic
year. Accommodation for the year will cost circa £3,000. This includes
heating, lighting and water rates. It also includes free use of shower
blocks,
toilet blocks, kitchen blocks and a coin-operated laundrette. The
accommodation price does not include the cost of food, toiletries
or cleaning.
Transport costs from Lyttleton House to the training facility must be met by the
student. Most students will use the regular local bus service to complete this
journey.
Tuition fees plus accommodation (including heat, light and water) for the
one-year programme amount to £6,000.
Payment Terms
Kingfisher College
requires 20% payment of all fees to book a place on the course with the balance
due by the start of studies.
