The Cultural Perspective for Communicating the Gospel

The objective of this module is to assist and prepare workers to enter a new culture. The module aims to help them understand, and not be offended or cause offence because of a lack of understanding and appreciation of the new culture.

The lectures will be less formal and will involve a lot of discussion and sharing of experience. Visits to culturally significant places will also form part of the course. Course Manuals will be supplied in Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and English.

Topics of study will include:

An examination of our own culture and its values.

Understanding Christian teaching in a culture other than our own.

How Britain works

Understanding British culture (A practical guide to living in Britain)
